I am still in disbelief that we just spent our first Thanksgiving with our baby girl. It was so much fun bringing her places, visiting with family and meeting new people. Let me tell you that we brought one thing that really made the entire experience so much better.
Let me first start off by getting this out there, baby girl is in her “will only nap if someone is holding or carrying me” era. If you put her down, she gets up in 20-30 minutes. If you’re cradling her, it’s a 50/50 shot of her staying down longer than 30 minutes or waking up right when that mark hits. However we have found the recent golden ticket to longer naps and it is baby wearing with a baby carrier. Yes I know it’s not ideal but it’s been a great way to give her the sleep she needs but also helps me not get nap trapped. This has been allowing me to be so much more productive instead of getting nap trapped like I was before.
A few posts ago, I mentioned lovingly the Solly Baby wrap. I still absolutely love it, especially for a newborn. But our baby is getting a bit bigger and just hasn’t been enjoying those as much. We had another carrier that I have been using but it was a bit bulky and didn’t encourage baby to sit back in a good hip position as much as I would like. So I went down the rabbit hood of going through Instagram and TikTok for a baby carrier that would support baby and mama.
Enter the Tula Free to Grow carrier. I got mine in Olivine made of a cotton and hemp blend. I love that its lightweight, there isn’t a lot of extra fabric on it. When wearing this one, I feel like I am actually wearing the baby instead of wearing a carrier. Does that even make sense? This one is pretty soft and breathable. It comes with a removable hood which is great for blocking out the shade or even distractions. Oh and this carrier comes with a pocket! A simple one to hold your phone in but its really a needed one! And I can’t forget to talk about this color. I love the earthy tone and that it can go with anything. But most importantly the baby loves it. They have a deal going on right now: spend $100+ and get a free Tula Lite compact carrier. Use code LITEFREE at checkout 🙂 Also have to add that this a great way to carry your baby around at all that holiday gatherings. If you aren’t a fan of other holding your baby during that time, its an awesome tool that allows others to keep their distance and you still be social.
Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Are there any other baby carriers that you absolutely love? What I’m learning is that most parents own a few and each of them they like for their own reasons. Thanks for reading. Cheers!!!
