This one is an oldie but such a goodie for us. Naturally like any other pup parent, you find something good, use it for a while and then forget about it once it’s wonder wears off. Then one day, you remember that gem and are stoked when you take it out, your pups remember its value and the cycle just repeats itself all over again. The joy of maybe being that pet parent who watched too many TikToks and is oh so willing to try anything new.
We have your Native Pets Yak Chews. Yak Chew? Now what are these things? These are hard chews you give to your dogs to munch on. Essentially it’s a treat made with yak milk, cow milk, lime and himelayan salt. This combo is tasty for our pups and keeps them enteratined for so long. But its got a health benefit too, its gentle on the pups teeth but also helps to clean their teeth as they chew.
Once our pups chew them down pretty small, you can pop the little piece in the microwave for 45 seconds, it will puff up in the microwave. After it cools off, the pups love the crunchy treat left over.
As with any chew toy, safety and supervision is highly important. We use these with the Bonehead Chew Holder to make sure that the pups can accidently swallow the yak chew once it has gotten down to a really small size. This gives me a little piece of mind that no accidents are going to happen.
