After really enjoying The Seven Year Slip, I was pleasantly surprised to find another Ashley Poston book on my TBR list. In comes Geekerella. Now I have to tell you, this book has been on my radar for the past few months or so, it just never took priority over other reads. I’m glad to say I got to finally read it and and have not enjoyed two books written by Poston.
Danielle finds herself mentally preparing for her favorite show of all time to get rebooted into a movie. Darien has just been casted to play the leading role in the movie and let’s such say the fandom is not happy. This has all things fandom related from the revival of a classic, committed fans and a con along with a love story sprinkled with some Cinderella similarities.
A fun read and definitely satisfied my inner nerd. For some reason it reminded me of Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I read that one ages ago, can’t entirely remember what it is about (maybe time for a reread). This is the first book in the Once Upon a Con series which has 3 books.
