We’re a few months into parenthood now and wow things are constantly changing. Just when I am getting the hang of things, everything shifts and I’m quickly reminded I know nothing haha. But one item or items that had been consistent on our end was the creation of this baby/nursing cart. The cart holds all the essentials I needed and I loved how easy it is to roll around from room to room for easy access. Below are the items I used to make ours and stock as well! I really hope you find this helpful. Let me know what you think and what other essential I could add to the cart.
- 3 Tier Metal Utility Cart
- Sturdy and easy to roll around from room to room.
- Woven Baskets – Helps keep all items organized and in their proper places
- Level 1
- Pampers Swaddlers Diapers – New Born – We have gotten to use a lot of different types of diapers so far and these were by far my favorite, especially the newborn ones. Super soft and incredibly absorbant
- Pampers Aqua Pure – Honestly, wipes are wipes but if you are going to spend a little bit more, these are great. Because of the amount of water in each wipe, they’re super gentle on a baby’s bum.
- Weighted Wipes Dispenser – You only need one hand to grab one wipe! No more needing both hands or taking out too many at a time.
- Boudreaux’s Butt Paste – Not your ordinary diaper rash cream. This one will knock out any diaper rash with just a few uses.
- Purell Hand Sanitizer – A quick little hand cleaning after handling those dirty diapers.
- Level 2
- Organic Bamboo Nursing Pads – love that there are reusable. Definitely get two orders of these, that way you can switch them out as often as you need.
- Muslin Burp Cloths – These are super soft and surprisingly absorbent. Having a ton of these on hands is helpful. I end up leaving them all over the place but we never run out of clean ones to use.
- Tubby Todd All Over Ointment – This stuff is amazing! When my baby started getting the newborn acne – this stuff helped clear her skin up in just a few days. We still use it to keep her skin nice and moisturized.
- Oogibear – Handy little tool that helps dig out those boxers and ear wax.
- Level 3
- Spectra Electric Breast Pump – Used this one a lot during the first few weeks to help encourage a strong milk supply. I liked that this one is battery operated which allowed me to walk around and do other tasks while pumping. Honestly not using this as much now. Using it for pumping in the morning and to supplement a bottle feeding.
- Breastmilk Storage Bags – Great when its time to start creating your own milk supply. If you are exclusively breast feeding (no bottle), its been nice to have a few of these frozen for when I need my partner to tap in on the feedings.
- Silk Scrunchies – Usually I’m a black elastic kind of girl and throw my hair up into a messy bun. I switched to these because they are much nicer to my hair minimize split ends.
- LARABAR – I had no clue how hungry I would constantly be, specifically while breastfeeding. These are green tot have on hand when you get get up and grab a snack but these are super handy and close by.
- Hydroflask 40oz with straw – Hydration is key! Always having a water bottle on hand filled and some ice thrown in is chef’s kiss. The straw is a nice touch which makes it easier to grab a swig as you’re feeing a little one.
