Okay this was a really fun book. You got your friends to enemies to lovers whole thing going on. A little love story filled with some musical theater references too. In Once More With Feeling, Kathleen was the “it” star rocking the stage with her pop music and killer dance moves. Her career tanked when the public found out she was cheating on her boyband boyfriend Ryan with no other than his fellow band mate Cal! Years later, her best friend ask her to star in a musical with none other than that guy she cheated with!
Oh you know that it gets juicy. You have that slow burn happening while also trying to stay true and loyal to a friend. For some reason this book gave me Brittany Spears and NSYNC vibes. Even little references of the Kathleen and Ryan meeting on a show reminded me a little bit of Brittany and Justin meeting on the Mickey Mouse Club. Maybe that’s where a little influence came from.
A easy read and enjoyable. And once again the cover is just speaking to me with those colors!
